Who are the monitors?
The lab monitors are student staff members that work in the lab to ensure the rules are followed, supplies are kept full, and assist students in their various tasks.
What can I expect from the monitors?
They are here to help you with basic tasks you would have when working on something in the lab, to direct you to a tutor when appropriate, & to assist you with checking out software and books. They are not tutors and do not know all the answers but they should be able to help with a lot of the basic questions and guide you to a tutor when it is necessary.
What should I not expect from them?
You should not expect them to aid you with your assingments or any other tasks that the tutors are there for.
What do you expect from me?
We expect that you will carry your Student ID at all times, print only one copy of documents (use photocopiers for additional copies), use all resources wisely, be considerate of others, abide by the reservations system, & that you come prepared to work.
